Sichuan Tourism University News Network （Correspondent:PanDong）On the morning of 26 March, a delegation headed by Pussisu, President of Lampang Inter-Tech College (Thailand), visited Sichuan Tourism University (SCTU). Wang Chuan, Deputy Secretary of the university CPC committee and President, received the visitors in Meeting Room 1 and chaired a bilateral cooperation forum. Representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Culinary and Food Science Engineering and the School of Culinary Vocational Education were present.

Wang Chuan extended a warm welcome to Pussisu and his team, and gave a full overview of SCTU’s unique educational strengths, disciplinary layout and existing international exchange programs. Highlighting complementary advantages between the two institutions, he put forward three core directions for future joint work:First, build premium overseas education platforms centered on culinary disciplines; Second, boost reciprocal institutional visits and launch high-quality short-term exchange schemes; Third, advance industry-education integration to deliver industry-relevant results that benefit all teaching staff and students from both sides.

Pussisu thanked SCTU for its hospitality and outlined his college’s educational characteristics and global development roadmap. He acknowledged SCTU’s outstanding standing in culinary training and expressed hope that the new partnership would pave the way for deeper collaboration covering joint culinary curriculum development, two-way staff and student mobility, and integrated industry-education projects. Both sides aim to nurture skilled, globally minded professional talent together.

The two sides held detailed talks on concrete joint culinary education plans before formally signing a Memorandum of Understanding. Building on this agreement, the institutions will carry out tangible cooperation in culinary talent training, academic exchanges and cultural engagement to further boost educational and cultural ties between China and Thailand.

During the campus tour, President Pussisu and his delegation visited SCTU’s Culinary and Food Experimental Management Center and commended the university’s advanced training facilities and academic accomplishments.
