Li Xian, Ph.D. Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor, currently serves as the Director of the Department of Tourism Development and Management at Chengdu University of Technology and the leader of the exemplary teaching team in Tourism Geography and Planning. She is recognized as a young backbone teacher at Chengdu University of Technology, an expert of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, a tourism poverty alleviation expert at the Sichuan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the leader of the National Virtual Teaching and Research Office for Tourism Management at Chengdu University of Technology.

Her primary research includes tourism planning and development, scenic area operation and management, and festival event planning and execution. She has published over 30 papers. She has led 8 major projects funded by the Sichuan Provincial Social Science“13th Five-Year Plan”Base, including the Research on the natural education model of the Giant Panda National Park. She has also led over 20 research projects such as the geological landscape survey report of the Lianbao Yezhe Scenic Area, the special development plan for mountain summer resort industry in Luzhou City, and various planning schemes for rural revitalization and cultural heritage exhibitions. She has been the technical lead in over 50 regional and scenic area tourism planning projects, including the comprehensive tourism planning for Shunqing District of Nanchong City and the special land use spatial tourism planning for Lianjie Area of Weiyuan County, winning the Excellent Achievement Award in Tourism Planning in Sichuan Province in 2019.
