Liu Yong, Ph.D.Heis a member of the China Democratic League. He is a professor at Sichuan TourismUniversity. He serves as a supervisor for master's students at the School of Physical Education, Chengdu University. He is the director of the Mountain Tourism Research Institute and the Institute for Tourism Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development at Sichuan Tourism University. Additionally, heisSecretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial Cultural and Tourism Standardization Technical Committee and the Director of the Academic Committee of the China Exploration Association. He is one of the first batch of international standardization experts in the National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee and a specially appointed expert at the Tsinghua Cross-Strait Research Institute. Furthermore, he serves as the Executive Director of the Mountain Tourism Professional Committee of the Sichuan Tourism Association.

He has led over 30 research projects at various levels, including the National Social Science Fund Western Project and projects from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He has authored or co-authored 7 monographs, 2 popular science books, and 3 professional reports. He has published more than 40 high-quality papers and has been in charge of one international tourism standard and one local tourism standard. His main research interests include mountain tourism, adventure tourism, and sustainable tourism.
