Ming Qingzhong, Yunling Scholar, Ph.D., Doctor supervisor. He serves as the Chief Professor at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, the Dean of the Institute of Tourism Culture Industry, and the Director of the Tourism Planning Center. He is the Chief Scientist of the Cultural and Tourism Industry and Overall Development Philosophical Innovation Team, the Chief Scientist of the Tourism Industry Development Philosophical Research Base, the Academic Leader of the Tourism Reform and Innovation Provincial University Innovation Team, the Academic Leader of the Low Latitude Plateau and Regional Development Yunnan Provincial Innovation Team, an Outstanding Social Science Expert in Yunnan Province, a recipient of government special subsidies, a young and middle-aged academic and technical leader, and an academic leader in teaching and research at provincial universities.

He previously served as the Founding Dean of the School of Tourism and Geography Sciences at Yunnan Normal University, the former Director of the Tourism Planning Center, the founding director of the Provincial Key Laboratory of "Highland Geography and Environmental Change," and the former Director of the Research Office.

He has led over 40 national and provincial longitudinal projects, including the National Science and Technology Support Program, National Funds, and projects from provincial ministries. He has been involved in the planning of over 120 tourism industry and tourism area projects in places like Lijiang, Lijiang Ancient City, Shangri-La, Tengchong, Xishuangbanna, Hubei Changyang, Yingshan, Macheng, Gansu Tianshui, Tibet Ali, etc. He has published over 40 books and more than 400 academic papers. He has received one second-class national teaching achievement award, three first-class and six second and third-class Yunnan Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Awards, one second-class award from the Ministry of Education, six second and third-class provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards, one National Outstanding Teacher Award for Higher Normal Universities, and has twice been honored as an outstanding individual for outstanding contributions to the construction of the tourism industry in Yunnan Province.
