Li Xiaoqin, Ph.D. Sheisprofessor from the School of Geography and Urban Planning at Chengdu University of Technology. She is leading academic and technical talent reserve candidate in Sichuan Province and serves as a director of the Sichuan Tourism Society. Li has been designated as a visiting scholar under the "Western Light" program by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and has served as a senior visiting scholar at the Faculty of Tourism, Rikkyo University in Japan.Her primary research interests include health and wellness tourism, holistic tourism, rural revitalization, rural tourism, and low-carbon tourism and sustainable development. From November 2015 to February 2018, Li held the position of Deputy Director of the Tourism Development Committee of Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, as part of her temporary assignment.

Over the past five years, ProfessorLi has led two projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation for Western China, one key project by the Sichuan Provincial Tourism Bureau, two projects under the Sichuan Provincial Social Science Research Planning, and eight projects funded by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. She has received several awards including the Third Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Social Sciences in Sichuan Province, the Thirteenth Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Sichuan Province, the First Prize for Higher Education Teaching Achievements in Sichuan Province, the Third Prize for Higher Education Teaching Achievements in Sichuan Province, and the First Prize for Outstanding Research Achievements in Higher Education from the Sichuan Higher Education Association.

ProfessorLi has authored five monographs including "Theory, Methods, and Practices of Ecological Health Tourism," "Innovation and Practice of Tourism Poverty Alleviation Models in Sichuan Province," "Research on Evaluation Index System and Development Model of Low-carbon Tourism Scenic Spots," "Planning and Development of Hot Spring Tourism," and "Tourism Development and Management of Geological Parks." Additionally, she has published one textbook titled "Tourism Planning and Development" and more than 40 papers in journals such as Tourism Tribune, Human Geography, Guangming Daily, Journal of Southwest University for Minzu(Humanities and Social Sciences Edition), Geographic Information Science, Ecological Economy, Business Research, Rural Economy, and Journal of Mountain Science. Li led the pioneering research on the evaluation index system and development model of low-carbon tourism scenic spots nationwide and spearheaded the formulation of the country's first "Low-carbon Tourism Scenic Spot Standard" (DB510800/T052-2017).
